It has been a very busy week for Samsung promoting its flagship product which is set to come to market on 29th may in London, which is a day earlier than its previous release date. However Samsung is surely going out of London now with a few releases in Asian markets including Japan and now Taiwan.
According to the officials Samsung will start selling the Samsung Galaxy S3 device in Taiwan from June 1 which is 2 days later than the Europe release of the device, however Taiwan wouldn’t mind it because they are among the first ones to get the device. Moreover one good news is thatSamsung Galaxy S3 in Taiwan will be available for less as compared to what London and rest of Europe will have to pay.
The Unlocked , SIM-Free version of Samsung Galaxy S3 in Taiwan will be available for 20,900 TWD which is about $708 for 16GB Variant and 22,900 TWD , which is about $775 for 32GB Variant. The London price for Unlocked SIM Free version of Galaxy S3 has been available for £500 (about $800). One important point to note here is the difference of prices between the two Taiwanese variants. You can get 16GB more memory by paying just $67 extra which is quite unusual.
All major Taiwanese operators are expected to offer Galaxy S3 on their network from June 1 on contract basis. It is expected that, like UK, they will offer the device free on a two year contract.
Samsung Galaxy SIII is expected to hit the rest of the Asian market sometime in June, however there are no confirmed date as of now for Korea, Singapore, Malaysia or Philippines. However there are already confirmation for the device being launched in Japan, the other parts will also be covered soon. India might see the Galaxy S3 on 10 June and Philippines is expected to see it before May end(No confirmation though).
And for all those US techies and enthusiasts, the Samsung Galaxy S3 will surely come to US in June on all major carriers, however there is no confirmed date yet. There are chances that the device might run on Dual Core Processor instead of the Quad Core one.
