Samsung Galaxy S3 shows good battery test results

The Samsung Galaxy S3 will soon be with us and the Korean firm is promoting the like anything. People around the world have been waiting to hold the device in their hands and want to feel how it feels to hold the Next Flagship product from Samsung- Samsung Galaxy S3.
The specs for Samsung Galaxy SIII surely looks monstrous with a 4.8″ Super Amoled HD Display loaded with a powerful Quad Core Samsung Exynos processor and many other features. But with these so many powerful features, there was a question on its battery consumption as it was expected that driving a Quad Core Processor and a 4.8 Super Amoled HD Screen could be difficult to handle by its 2100 mAH powered battery.

Owing to that, GSM Arena recently had a test to check the battery power of this powerhouse smartphone. And to a surprise, Samsung Galaxy S3 stands well in comparison with many other smartphones available in the market.
GSM Arena found that when the phone was used for 3G(with screen off) the Galaxy S3 lasted for around 10 hours and 20 minutes for a single charge, beating the rivals HTC One S and V by 40 and 20 minutes respectively. However the prequel – Samsung Galaxy S2 managed about 8 hours and 30 minutes.
In a browsing test Samsung Galaxy S3 lasted for 5 hours and 17 minutes, which certainly is a good result. However in video playback, the Samsung Galaxy S3 took second place managing 10 hours of continuous film watching, before 90 per cent of the battery was drained. Certainly the results showed good promise as the device managed to grab a second spot just after Motorola’s Droid RAZR MAXX. Even when it comes to standby time, the Galaxy S3 managed about 43 hours of backup before dying out.
