Samsung Galaxy S3 Design:

The Samsung Galaxy S3, according to Samsung has been taken from a nature theme. The phone has been “inspired by nature and designed for humans- it sees, listens, responds, and allows you to share the greatest moments”.
Samsung Galaxy S3 Design
Design wise, It has a hyperbolic curve around the corners, but without any doubt you will feel a natural feel when you handle the device. You have got a choice for two Samsung Galaxy S3 colors- ‘Marble White’ and ‘Pebble Blue’. It is made up of brushed glossy plastic created using a new technology that Samsung has called Hyberblaze. For a larger device as compared to Samsung Galaxy S2 it gives a uniform feel which runs on the dimension 136.6 x 70.6 x 8.6mm and still packing Super AMOLED HD Screen.

Although, similar to Galaxy S2, it still feels a little cheap when holding the device because of its plastic body. The device feels so lightweight, even though it clocks 133gm of weight, but it may not appeal many of us, when we hold the device in our hands. But we are going to let it go for its many other features which can cover up for this. And given the number of sales that Samsung Galaxy S2 managed to make, Samsung Galaxy S3 surely has a market to capture.Slimness of Samsung Galaxy S3 Samsung Galaxy S3 runs on a high end 1.4 GHz Quad Core Exynos processor which certainly increases the performance of the device many folds when it is compared with any other market product. Performance wise, Samsung Galaxy SIII tops the list of the available smartphones in the market which is a certain positive point for it.
Compared with the other Samsung Galaxy Phones, the Samsung Galaxy S3 is similar to both Samsung Galaxy S and Samsung Galaxy Nexus rather than Samsung Galaxy S2. The hyperbolic design looks pretty much similar to Samsung Galaxy S. The size of the home button has increased when compared with the prequel, however other menu buttons are pretty much similar to Samsung Galaxy S. And the overall design might look very similar to Samsung Galaxy Nexus, with rounded corners, Hyperbolic curve and HD screen.
Samsung has always been very innovative about its hardware and have promised to give the best screens in its flagship products and Samsung Galaxy S3 is no exception. The Super AMOLED HD screen of the Samsung Galaxy S3 is a world apart from any of the Galaxy line of smartphones from Samsung. The Super AMOLED HD display certainly gives the phone an edge over the other Galaxy line of smartphones and surely will be a factor that will make it different from others in this competitive market.
Samsung Galaxy SII HD Screen
The screen is 4.8″ big which is bigger than many smartphones that are available in the market, including HTC One X and even HTC Titan II but there is no hump at the back so the thickness is uniform.
The device size might be big for some as you might have to struggle to reach the top corner if you don’t like the big screens or have small hands, but the device is definitely manageable in hands. So overall, if you like to handle Big screens with HD Display, Samsung Galaxy S3 is the phone to go with.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Interface:

Samsung has re-tooled its touchwiz interface giving it a more Nature them than the actual one and has really gone towards the “inspired by nature” theme.
You will hear the dropping water sound when you touch the device or lock/unlock it which certainly makes the phone close to nature. For locking and unlocking you will not see a visual clue, however you will see a water droplets being formed and a sound of water drops which makes it close to nature.

Its not just the water droplets that makes it close to nature and give it a nature theme, the whole feel of the phone is close to nature, although it might irritate you after a while, so you can turn it off if it doesn’t please you.
With the re-framed Touchwiz UI, it certainly gives an easier feeling while handling the device. It certainly has simplified the whole process giving it a easier feel even when swiping around the phone. Moreover there are many widgets that you can play around with in the new Touchwiz.
The size of the dock at the bottom has been increased to be able to hold 5 items which is a big plus point especially when you to hold your internet phone, messaging all within the reach.

Samsung Galaxy S3 New Techs:

Samsung has also come up with a new technology called Smart Stay with the new Samsung Galaxy S3. This technology claims to have your eyes been tracked by the camera, so it will make sure that the back light of the screen should not go off when you are looking at it, and will dim it when you are away.

Although the idea is very genuine and innovative because you might have felt just hoped that a similar technology exists when you were reading the articles on internet and the back light goes off.
The other smart Idea that Samsung has come up the with the phone is Smart Voice. The Smart Voice, similar to SIRI, makes the phone listens to you and respond based on your voice commands. For example, you can say “Hi Galaxy” or ” Hi Buddy” to wake the device up. We were hoping a similar technology to come up with the Samsung Galaxy SIII as the voice recognition in Samsung Galaxy S2 was nowhere close to SIRI.
The Galaxy S3 has also added another feature called as the Direct Call. When you are messaging someone and feels to make a call to that person, you can just bring the phone near to your ear and the Direct Call feature will make sure that the call gets connected to that person.
Samsung Galaxy S3 S Beam Technology
To go with all those new features, there is another feature called as the S Beam. According to Samsung, S-beam feature will make it easier to transfer files from one Galaxy S3 to another. The user just need to put both the device together and just tap the file/image to be transferred and it should be transferred to the other device.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Media:

The Galaxy SIII is certainly made as a device for media- especially when we are talking about it as a sequel to the Samsung Galaxy S2 which itself has been one of the best device to browse your media. Samsung has worked on its codecs and have increased the supported formats, so barely you will find a format that is not supported on Samsung Galaxy S3.
Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300 Video Player
It understandably gives a great user experience watching a video on a 4.8″ Super AMOLED HD screen which have a variety of colors and a high quality contrast ratio.
The navigation through the video is also very smooth, pause, play, and moving the navigator is very smooth making it a pretty decent experience.
Samsung Galaxy S3 Pop Up Play feature
A new feature has been added here to support the multitasking along with watching videos and has been called as Pop Up Play feature. The feature allows you to Pop your video screen by clicking the Pop Up button and then you can move your video screen around along with performing other functions like sending a message to someone. This feature really demonstrates the power of the underneath Exynos processor giving it a “true multitasking”, in Samsung’s words.
Samsung Galaxy S3 has pushed all barriers and has promised to provide the device with three variants based on internal memory of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. Moreover with the use of SD Card the internal memory can be expanded upto 64 GB.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Connectivity:

With all those new features coming in, the base of the phone still is its connectivity. When you purchase a phone like Samsung Galaxy S3, you are certainly looking for a good connectivity for it and a good internet speed. Without a doubt, the internet browsing speed over Wifi has increased for Samsung Galaxy S3 as compared to Samsung Galaxy S2.
Although the current version of the device does not support the LTE technology, but the expected USA version will be supporting the LTE technology. Even the words on the browser appear to be crisp and clear, which is better than the prequel and it also supports the Flash player as well.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Camera:

Other than the Samsung Galaxy S3 screen, The Samsung Galaxy 3 camera is the one which can appeal most of the buyers around the world. Although the Samsung Galaxy S3 Camera is just 8MP, which is a bit less as compared to its expected sensor of 12MP, but still it gives you a lot of features to play around and capture your moments.
Samsung Galaxy S3 Camera
It is not really required to have a 12mp Camera for Samsung Galaxy S3 as it is certainly capable of making your photography experience worth even with a 8MP Camera and can bring you a more interactive experience that you have never experienced before.
Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300 camera features
Samsung has promised to give high quality even in the dim light. Although Samsung has not yet confirmed the apperture ratio of the device, but the images appear to be crisp and clear.
Samsung Galaxy S3 also gives the burst mode feature in which the camera will click 20 pictures at six pictures per second and will choose the best picture among the 20 pictures. Although this is not a new feature that is present here, but the algorithm to choose the best out of the 20 pictures taken has certainly improved which can easily eliminate the pictures which does not have smile or have closed eyes etc. This is a sort of feature that we think people will certainly like it on board.
Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300 Burst Shot Camera
There is also a 1.2 MP camera on the front side of Samsung Galaxy SIII which can take your personal snaps and is also capable of recording our videos at 720p .
The facial recognition feature is also really impressing which just require a double tap to make the person in the picture in focus.
There are other on board features like High Dynamic Range (HDR), panorama, Smile Shot, Beauty Mode and many more which certainly make the photography a real fun with the use of Samsung Galaxy S3.
Its not just the snap are that impresses, there a lotmore to go with after snap area where you can tag your friends in the photos and link them with the contacts in your Phonebook.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Apps:

Samsung has provided Samsung Galaxy S3 with a lot of new apps including the S Suggests and S Memo, but there were a few missing apps from Samsung Galaxy S2 including the reader hub for Magazines and newspaper.
There was no Reader Hub or Social Hub applications on the Samsung Galaxy S3 which were used to unify all the social connections in one place in Samsung Galaxy S2. We were surprised and shocked to see the application go missing from the phone. But these hubs were replaced by the video hub which will take on the likes of HTC Watch and the play movies(which is also installed on the device). Although there was no information about the cost of movies download from the videos hub, but it has been told that the collaborations with studios is pretty comprehensive from the outset.
The Music Hub is also present on the phone and can be used to browse the MP3 music from Amazon Mp3 store. Also an interesting addition to Samsung Galaxy S3 is Gamers hub where user can download some of the best games and can really make use of the graphical capabilities of the phone along with its powerful Exynos Quad Core processor.
S Beam is also present, as already said which can be used to send the content over the twoGalaxy S3 devices with the use of NFC technology. The S Beam technology uses the NFC to connect the two different phones and then uses Wifi to actually send the movies, photos, videos and other data.
You can transfer the whole video or photo gallery with the use of S Beam technology in minutes, but sadly the technology is currently limited to only Samsung Galaxy S3 devices.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Battery:

Samsung has managed to minimize the thickness of the device and still upgraded the battery power from 1650mAh(Samsung Galaxy S2) to 2100mAh (Samsung Galaxy S3) which will be able to run the Quad Core powered device for a longer time as compared to Samsung Galaxy S2.
Samsung Galaxy S3 Battery
However with all those power consuming display of 1280 x 720 pixels, we are actually not sure whether it will actually improve the battery life for the device or not.  Although if we go by the words from Samsung, The Samsung Galaxy S3 will use better power management techniques and will provide longer battery run for the device.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Review Video:

Verdict:

The Samsung Galaxy S3 has got all the features to be considered as one of the best Android device on the planet, but to go with the competition from the non-Android devices, we still are in shadows.
Looking at the specs , it certainly gives it an edge over the other smartphones that are present in the market: 4.8″ Super AMOLED HD Screen, 1.4GHz Quad Core Exynos processor, Bluetooth 4.0, 64GB Internal Memory, S Beam, S Voice, Eye Catching and much more.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 is certainly capable of taking on the market competition and withstand the pressure from Apple and other competitors. However the only drawback that we can see in the device as of now is its plastic body with hyperbolic curve that does look cheap while holding the device. It my not give you a feel that you are actually holding the best Android(or for that matter overall) Smartphone available in the market today.
